TAGUM TAGUMPAY!
Tagum City is one of the top most livable cities in the Philippines. Tagum has been consistently adjudged by the national government as a finalist in Most Child Friendly City in the Philippines through the years. It has been chosen accordingly, to represent Davao del Norte and the Region XI, together with Tagaytay, Laoag City, Talisay City and Cebu in 2013. It was once called the Little Green Singapore City in the Philippines.
Tagum has been accorded as one of the Most Competitive Medium-Sized Cities in the Philippines. The rapid extension of its economic breadth is primarily due to its strategic location. It is blessed with developed public infrastructure and weather highly conducive to agricultural production – its main economic thrust.
Cited as one of the Seven Most Viable and Most Competitive Business Sites in the country in 2005 by the Philippine Cities Competitiveness Ranking Project, it is definitely one of the fastest-growing cities in Mindanao and it has become a bustling center of commerce, health services and entertainment especially in the Davao Region.
A GATEWAY TO PROGRESS
Investing inTagum means an expanded market. It is a developmental crossroad for the whole Davao Region, making it one of the most potent business players of Mindanao and the Philippines, one of the fast emerging gateways to the evolving East ASEAN Growth Area, a return of our centuries-old trade cooperation with the countries of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Tagum is the capital city of the province of Davao del Norte. It is located 55 kilometers north of Davao City, the main economic and administrative center of Region XI. The city lies between 7°26′ N latitude and 125°48' E Longitude, in the intersections between the rural areas of Davao del Norte and Compostela Valley and the Metro Davao.
The city is strategically located at the northern part of southern Mindanao where it lies in the crossing of three (3) major road network systems namely: the Phil-Japan Friendship Highway, the Davao-Mati, Davao-Agusan road and the Davao-Bukidnon road (soon to open).
RIPE FOR THE PICKING
Tagum City, although a highly urbanized area, is being sought for by investors because its traffic is less congested compared to other major metropolitan areas in Mindanao. Even though it is complete with cosmopolitan amenities, having been named the 2nd MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions) City next to Davao City, it still permeates an ambience of tranquil congeniality.
